Ball Corporation in Milton Keynes is seeking a proactive Shift Manager to lead a 12-hour production shift on the plant floor, focusing on safety, quality, and meeting production targets.

You will drive continuous improvement, standardise equipment settings, manage waste and downtime, and mentor the Shift Team while collaborating with engineering. Fluent English and strong leadership are essential.

Formación

• Experience leading teams in high-speed manufacturing environments.
• Training in management systems and processes.
• Strong leadership, delegation and communication skills.
• Desirable knowledge of food and drink production environments.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure safe working practices and maintain housekeeping and safety awareness.
• Meet Production, Quality, Spoilage and environmental targets set by senior leadership and plant budget.
• Investigate equipment and process defects and drive corrective actions.
• Lead continuous improvements to minimise costs and liaise with engineering for maintenance actions.
• Standardise equipment settings and operations to meet specifications and quality.
• Provide training and development for the Shift Team and ensure competency.
• Monitor team performance and take corrective actions for operational issues.
• Optimise materials usage and minimise waste.
• Provide leadership and motivation to the Shift Team and solicit ideas for improvements.
• Collaborate with other Shift Managers to optimise plant performance.
