Job summary

Five Guys in the United Kingdom is seeking a Shift Manager to lead on the shop floor, support the General Manager, and ensure every shift runs to Five Guys standards. You’ll coach the team, maintain high energy, and deliver an outstanding guest experience.

You’ll demonstrate leadership, manage a busy service, and uphold Food Hygiene and Health & Safety standards while driving customer satisfaction and a positive work environment.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of management experience in a high-volume hospitality or QSR environment.
• Track record of driving customer satisfaction scores and positive reviews.
• Understand basics of running a profitable shift, minimizing waste and staffing effectively.
• Natural motivator who leads by example and drives the team.
• Knowledge of Food Hygiene and Health & Safety standards.
• Flexible to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead from the front, working on the line and dining area.
• Support the General Manager in delivering perfect burgers and fries with an above-and-beyond experience.
• Create an engaging working environment aligned with company values.
• Ensure every customer is delighted and handle complaints openly and promptly.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

• Experience:Ideally, you have at least1 year of management experience ina similar role within a high-volume hospitalityorQSRenvironment. You know what it takes to run a busy shift and keep the energy high
• Customer Satisfaction:You are obsessed with the guest experience and have the numbers to prove it. You havea track recordof driving customer satisfaction scores, increasing engagement, and consistently delivering excellent Mystery Shopper results and positive reviews
• FinancialResponsibility:You understand the basics of running a profitable shift,managing crew breaks,minimisingfood waste, and deploying the team effectively during the rush
• LeadershipSkills:You are a natural motivator who enjoys being hands-on. You lead by example and know how to get the best out of the Crew during a busy service
• Operational Excellence:You have a good working knowledge of Food Hygiene and Health & Safety standards and know how to enforce them on the line
