Job summary

Greggs Plc is seeking a Shift Manager to lead the shop in the Manager's absence and coach the team to deliver outstanding customer service. You will oversee service across in-store, delivery, Click + Collect and drive-thru channels, ensuring a brilliant shopping experience for every customer.

Responsibilities include inspiring the team, leading by example, preparing products, and maintaining presentation and cleanliness. We value inclusivity and a proactive approach to staff development.

Qualifications

• Previous team supervisory experience in a customer-focused environment.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Ability to motivate and engage a team to deliver great service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare products, including sandwiches, and manage ovens during shifts.

Job description

Join us as a Shift Manager and you'll be part of a team that loves putting customers first. As part of the management team, you'll be responsible for looking after the shop when the Manager isn't around. You will engage and motivate the team, and make sure they have what they need to do an amazing job. We serve our customers across a number of different channels; in-shop, delivery, Click + Collect and drive thru. You'll lead the way in making sure customers have a brilliant experience when shopping with us - whether they order in store or order their food online. While no two shifts will be the same, during a typical shift you can expect to:

• Inspire the team to deliver amazing results and maintain the excellent standards of the shop
• Lead by example and serve our customers in a fast and friendly manner
• Prepare our much-loved products, including making sandwiches and managing the ovens
• Ensure our displays are fully stocked at all times, with plenty of choice available for our customers
• Keep the shop looking clean, tidy and presentable

You’ll be reliable and demonstrate natural leadership abilities, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. You’ll also be supportive of an inclusive culture - recognising and valuing that difference is good.
