DESCRIPTION

When you join Amazon as a Shift Manager, you'll gain experience leading a large and diverse team to ensure your area of the business keeps pace with demand. This hands-on role involves understanding the complexities of operations at a global business and ensuring seamless workflows. You will implement your team's approach to drive productivity and collaborate closely with colleagues to address challenges, making each day unique.

Key job responsibilities

• Promote a culture of safety and wellbeing
• Analyze and implement corrective actions to maintain high quality and productivity levels, meeting business objectives across all shifts
• Support and lead a team, handle administrative tasks, and foster a strong team culture
• Analyze performance data and suggest process improvements to optimize work and enhance customer service
• Collaborate with other managers to standardize shift processes

A day in the life

You will work shifts at one of our operational sites, focusing on maintaining safety standards and process efficiency. Your daily routine will include managing your team, addressing escalations, working on process improvements, and contingency planning. You will work with colleagues and external partners to meet customer demands and targets, analyzing data and discussing technical improvements with engineers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• University degree (Bachelor's or Master's), completed before start date
• Proficiency in written and verbal English and the local language
• Experience in data analysis

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred qualifications are not mandatory but are a plus:

• Experience communicating with stakeholders at all levels, including leadership
• Experience in a logistics environment
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
