Job summary

Five Guys UK is seeking a capable Shift Manager to lead front-line teams, work on the line and dining area, and uphold Five Guys standards. You will support the General Manager to ensure that every shift runs smoothly and customers leave the restaurant feeling better than when they arrived.

With at least 1 year of management experience in a high-volume hospitality or QSR environment, you will drive guest satisfaction, manage crew breaks and waste, and lead by example while living our values of

Qualifications

• Experience: at least 1 year of management experience in a high-volume hospitality or QSR environment.
• Ability to run a busy shift and keep energy/high standards.
• Customer satisfaction focus with track record of improving satisfaction and reviews.
• Financial responsibility: manage crew breaks, minimise waste, and run profitable shifts.
• Leadership: motivate, lead by example and get the best from the crew.
• Operational excellence: solid food hygiene and health & safety knowledge.
• Flexibility: able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead from the front, working on the line and dining area.
• Support the General Manager in delivering perfect burgers and fries and an above‑and‑beyond guest experience.

AS A SHIFT MANAGER, YOU'LL BE RESPONSBILE FOR

• Supporting the General Manager in the delivery of perfect burgers and fries while providing a above & beyond experience for your team and customers

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

• Experience: Ideally, you have at least 1 year of management experience in a similar role within a high-volume hospitality or QSR environment.
• You know what it takes to run a busy shift and keep the energy high
• Customer Satisfaction: You are obsessed with the guest experience and have the numbers to prove it. You have a track record of driving customer satisfaction scores, increasing engagement, and consistently delivering excellent Mystery Shopper results and positive reviews
• Financial Responsibility: You understand the basics of running a profitable shift, managing crew breaks, minimising food waste, and deploying the team effectively during the rush
• Leadership Skills: You are a natural motivator who enjoys being hands-on. You lead by example and know how to get the best out of the Crew during a busy service
• Operational Excellence: You have a good working knowledge of Food Hygiene and Health & Safety standards and know how to enforce them on the line
• Flexibility: You are available to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
