Job summary

Five Guys is seeking a Shift Manager to support the General and Assistant Managers, lead the frontline team on the line and dining area, and ensure every shift runs to Five Guys standards. You’ll coach staff and drive a great guest experience in a high-energy environment.

You will help deliver perfect burgers and fries, manage breaks, monitor food quality and safety, and foster a positive culture aligned with our values. This is a hands-on leadership role on site.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of management experience in high-volume hospitality or QSR
• Able to run a busy shift with high energy
• Proven track record of driving customer satisfaction and positive reviews
• Understanding of profitability, crew breaks, waste, and staffing during rush
• Strong leadership, hands-on style, and ability to motivate the crew
• Solid knowledge of Food Hygiene and Health & Safety standards
• Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays

AS A SHIFT MANAGER, YOU'LL BE RESPONSBILE FOR

• Supporting the General Manager in the delivery of perfect burgers and fries while providing a above & beyond experience for your team and customers

• Ensuring every customer is delighted with their order and their Five Guys experience - You will deal with complaints promptly in an open and honest way

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

• Experience: Ideally, you have at least 1 year of management experience in a similar role within a high-volume hospitality or QSR environment.
• You know what it takes to run a busy shift and keep the energy high
• Customer Satisfaction: You are obsessed with the guest experience and have the numbers to prove it. You have a track record of driving customer satisfaction scores, increasing engagement, and consistently delivering excellent Mystery Shopper results and positive reviews
• Financial Responsibility: You understand the basics of running a profitable shift, managing crew breaks, minimising food waste, and deploying the team effectively during the rush
• Leadership Skills: You are a natural motivator who enjoys being hands-on. You lead by example and know how to get the best out of the Crew during a busy service
• Operational Excellence: You have a good working knowledge of Food Hygiene and Health & Safety standards and know how to enforce them on the line
• Flexibility: You are available to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
