7 Steel UK is seeking a Shift Manager to direct operations in our Sections Mill, ensuring safe production and efficient use of resources. You will lead a multi-disciplinary team and collaborate with the production management team to optimise processes and output.
You will bring experience in heavy industry, a passion for developing people, and a focus on safety, coaching, and continuous improvement to drive performance and quality across shifts.
Joining our Sections Mill team as a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for directing manufacturing operations safely within one of our Hot Rolling Mills. You will need to make efficient use of your available resources to ensure that our production targets are met. You will also work closely with your colleagues in the production management team, so that we are getting the best out of our processes.
You will be an experienced manager with a background in a heavy industry environmentOver the years, you will have developed practical expertise in production, but most importantly, a passion to lead and develop teams. You will be able to identify training needs, as well as provide support and coaching to your team.
You’ll be joining a recycling company – we recycle scrap metal into new steel products. We’re the largest producer of reinforcing steel in the UK and one of the largest metal recyclers, too. We’re passionate about the circular economy and working towards our decarbonisation pathway.
