Job summary

Alecto Recruitment are recruiting for a Shift Maintenance Fitter to work at the Poplars AD Plant in Cannock. The role offers a 4 on 4 off pattern, days and nights, and a competitive salary with a night shift allowance.

You will be responsible for reliable mechanical and electrical maintenance to keep the anaerobic digestion plant running safely and efficiently. You’ll carry out planned preventative maintenance, respond to breakdowns, and support small-scale plant improvements.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in Mechanical or Electrical Fitter/maintenance role.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience in manufacturing or heavy industrial environments.
• Knowledge of planned preventative maintenance (PPM).

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across the plant.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and complete repairs.
• Support equipment installations and plant improvement projects.
• Work closely with Operations to maximise plant reliability and minimise downtime.
• Coordinate specialist maintenance activities with contractors.
• Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
