Job summary

At Biffa's Poplars AD Plant in Cannock, we are seeking a Day Shift Fitter to join our maintenance team. You will report to the Shift Supervisor and keep the anaerobic digestion facility running safely, efficiently and reliably through proactive maintenance and rapid fault response.

The role requires hands-on mechanical and electrical maintenance experience in a fast-paced process environment, with a focus on reliability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a Mechanical or Electrical Fitter role.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience in a fast-paced process, manufacturing, waste, water or industrial environment.
• Understanding of planned preventive maintenance principles.
• Ability to prioritise and respond effectively to breakdowns.
• Relevant Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification preferred.

Responsibilities

Salary: £41,125.50 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:00 (Days Only)
