Job description

Location: Cannock

Salary: £40,330 (includes 10% shift allowance)

Hours of work: 4 days on, 4 days off, 4 nights on, 4 nights off / 07:00 until 19:00 - Days, 19:00 until 07:00 - Nights

A quick look at the role

The role holder will be responsible for driving plant availability by ensuring all PPMs, reactive maintenance, engineering, and process improvements are carried out and implemented promptly. The role involves promoting best practices daily through high engineering, compliance, and health & safety standards.

Your core responsibilities
  1. Provide high operational availability and efficient breakdown repair services. Diagnose faults and ensure effective repairs and improvements are completed swiftly.
  2. Develop and implement a planned preventative maintenance and inspection program to minimize downtime, record recurrent faults, and develop engineered solutions.
  3. Perform minor maintenance operations on plant and equipment.
  4. Coordinate with external contractors for specific repairs and maintenance work.
  5. Stay updated with health & safety and environmental legislation and company policies to ensure standards and best practices are followed.
Our essential requirements
  1. At least 2 years’ experience as an Electrical or Mechanical Fitter, or similar role, preferably in a green waste/water treatment plant or similar environment.
  2. Proven ability to meet KPIs.
  3. Experience in delivering continuous improvement in operational settings.
  4. Experience in implementing new processes and developments.
  5. Suitable job titles include Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Mechanical Maintenance Electrical Technician, Maintenance Electrician, Shift Electrician, Maintenance Technician, Shift Engineer, Multi Skilled Electrician, Maintenance Fitter, etc.
