Job description

Overview

Interaction Technical has partnered with a well-established national plant hire firm to support the growth of their team. Our client, with over 50 years of experience, is looking to onboard and train engineers from backgrounds such as plant, HGV, automotive, or agricultural sectors. They offer comprehensive training schemes and internal progression routes.

The Package:

• 22 days annual leave + public holidays, increasing by 1 day each year of service (up to 25 days)
• Overtime paid at 1.5x for hours exceeding 8 per day

The Requirements:

• Experience in the plant, automotive, HGV, or agricultural industries (essential)
• Experience with hydraulics, mechanical, and electrical systems (essential)
• Engine experience (advantageous)
• Fault finding, repair, and service in electrical and mechanical systems
• Qualifications such as NVQ or City and Guilds in mechanical/electrical engineering (advantageous)
• Full UK driver’s license

The Responsibilities:

• Travel to client sites for maintenance and repair of plant machinery and equipment
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
• Collaborate with clients to understand needs and provide recommendations
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance
• Train and support clients' staff on machinery operation and maintenance
• Maintain detailed records of service activities and parts used
• Communicate with the internal engineering team to improve product performance
