Job Description:

We are seeking a Shift Maintenance Engineer (Electrical bias) to work for our client, a Sheffield-based Machining Technology business. The role involves supporting customers by providing machine tools and services across industries such as nuclear, defence, power generation, offshore oil and gas, and aerospace.

Responsibilities:

• Carrying out maintenance tasks to ensure plant and equipment reliability through planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Responding to equipment and facility breakdowns and implementing corrective actions.
• Supporting new project implementations and equipment installations.
• Conducting equipment condition assessments, refurbishments, and continuous improvements.
• Maintaining accurate documentation and records via the Spidex CMMS system.
• Collaborating with the engineering team to plan maintenance activities.
• Driving continuous improvement within the department.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Supporting operational targets by maximizing equipment uptime.
• Diagnosing and repairing electronic, electrical, and mechanical faults.
• Ensuring stock levels are maintained and correctly logged.
• Participating in interdepartmental projects and covering for colleagues as needed.
• Ensuring all actions comply with company procedures and work instructions.
• Utilizing the Spidex Maintenance Management system effectively.

Shift Pattern and Salary:

Morning (6am - 2pm), Afternoon (2pm - 10pm), Night (10pm - 6am); 40 hours per week, including breaks. Max shift length 12 hours.

Salary: £24.59/hour. Overtime paid at the same rate.
