Job summary

TXM Recruit is partnering with a leading automation and intralogistics specialist to recruit a Maintenance Engineer for their Burton-On-Trent site. You will maintain and optimise state-of-the-art machinery across a busy distribution facility, ensuring high availability and safe operation.

The role involves 4 on/4 off shifts (4 days, 4 off, 4 nights, 4 off), ranging 6am–6pm and 6pm–6am, with a competitive annual salary and comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• NVQ/BTEC/C&G Level 3 in Electro-Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Familiarity with NDT methods and technologies.
• Knowledge of PLC systems and their functionality.
• Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics is an advantage.
• Proficiency in basic Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical disassembly and reassembly tasks, basic field wiring, equipment calibration, and system testing.
• Efficiently manage time using CMMS, aiming for over 90% utilization.
• Complete reactive repairs within set timeframes to minimize downtime.
• Conduct servicing and repairs of installed products, taking hands-on ownership of issues to achieve swift resolutions.
• Interpret electrical schematics and work confidently with 415V motor controls.
• Prioritize health and safety by conducting thorough risk assessments.
• Demonstrate strong mechanical skills, including the ability to read and follow assembly drawings.
• Follow setup instructions, assembly guides, and checklists with precision.
• Display exceptional attention to detail and follow-up capabilities.
• Understand and work with control systems.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders at all levels within the organization and customer environments.
