Job summary

TXM Recruit is seeking a Maintenance Shift Engineer for a leading automation and intralogistics facility in Bradford, West Yorkshire. You will maintain and optimize state-of-the-art machinery to ensure continuous operations at the distribution site.

The role encompasses mechanical and electrical tasks, reading schematics, and working with 415V motor controls. Shift patterns include 6am-6pm, 6pm-6am rotations, and a potential travel within Europe.

Qualifications

• NVQ/BTEC/C&G Level 3 in Electro-Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with PLC systems and electrical controls.
• Familiarity with NDT methods and CMMS usage.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical disassembly and reassembly tasks, basic field wiring, equipment calibration, and system testing.
• Manage downtime using CMMS, aiming for over 90% utilization.
• Complete reactive repairs within set timeframes to minimize downtime.
• Conduct servicing and repairs of installed products, taking hands-on ownership of issues to achieve swift resolutions.
• Interpret electrical schematics and work confidently with 415V motor controls.
• Prioritize health and safety by conducting thorough risk assessments.
• Demonstrate strong mechanical skills, including the ability to read and follow assembly drawings.
• Follow setup instructions, assembly guides, and checklists with precision.
• Display exceptional attention to detail and follow-up capabilities.
• Understand and work with control systems.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders at all levels within the organization and customer environments.
