Job summary

Pioneer-Selection-Ltd near Wrexham is seeking a Shift Maintenance Engineer to join a large FMCG manufacturing operation. You will maintain a wide range of automated production machinery as part of a multi-skilled engineering team.

The role covers both planned and reactive maintenance, breakdown support, and continuous improvement within a fast-paced factory environment. Applicants should have multi-skilled maintenance experience and fault-finding skills with the ability to read drawings.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 Engineering or equivalent is required.
• Multi-skilled maintenance experience is essential.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment and fault-finding ability are critical.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM).
• Perform reactive breakdown maintenance and fault finding on electrical and mechanical systems.
• Read electrical and mechanical drawings and utilise basic PLC I/O knowledge.

Job Role of the Shift Maintenance Engineer

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Shift Maintenance Engineer to join a large FMCG manufacturing business during an exciting period of growth. Working as part of a multi-skilled engineering team, you will be responsible for maintaining a wide range of automated production machinery through planned and reactive maintenance, helping to maximise equipment reliability and site performance.

This is a varied, hands‑on role where you'll support breakdown response, continuous improvement initiatives and engineering projects within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Non‑Negotiable Requirements of the Shift Maintenance Engineer

• NVQ Level 3 Engineering qualification (or equivalent).
