Job summary
Beaumont House in Walton-on-the-Naze is seeking a Shift Leader to guide and support the care team across a 38-hour week on a permanent basis. Salary is £26,268.09 per annum with a 3-week rolling rota and two 7-hour shifts plus two 12-hour shifts per week, fostering compassionate, high-quality care for older adults.
The role focuses on leadership, safe medication practices, and ensuring a warm, homely environment while developing others within the team.
Qualifications
- Experience supporting older and vulnerable adults in a care setting.
- Knowledge of end-of-life care and person-centred support.
- Understanding of CQC Fundamental Standards.
- Strong communication, organisation and leadership skills.
- Genuine passion for supporting people and developing others.
Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and support the care team during shifts.
- Assist with rota planning and day-to-day service operations.
- Champion high-quality, person-centred care and best practice.
- Build positive relationships with customers, families and healthcare professionals.
- Complete medication audits, competency assessments and care observations.
- Support safe medication ordering, collection and administration.
