Job summary

Powys County Council is seeking a dedicated leader for a small residential children’s home in rural South Powys. You will lead a full shift, support young people with learning and physical disabilities, and supervise care staff to provide a safe, nurturing environment where independence and personal development are encouraged.

You will assist with rotas, plans, and paperwork, while ensuring adherence to CIW and Social Care Wales regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people in a residential setting.
• Ability to lead a full shift and supervise residential care staff.
• Enhanced DBS check required.
• Valid UK driving licence and minimum age 22.

Responsibilities

• Lead a full shift, supporting the home and Residential Care Workers.
• Supervise staff you are leading and manage rotas, young people’s plans and house paperwork.
• Ensure compliance with CIW and National Minimum standards for Residential Care.
