Job summary

Talent STEM Ltd, in partnership with an established scientific and industrial organisation, is recruiting a Shift Laboratory Analyst to join its technical laboratory team on an initial 3-month contract, based in York. The role covers high-throughput sample analysis, wet chemistry and instrumental testing, with a 12-hour day/night rotating shift. Applicants should have a Chemistry qualification or relevant lab experience and familiarity with QA/QC and ISO systems.

Qualifications

• Chemistry qualification or equivalent commercial lab experience.
• Experience with wet chemistry and instrumental analysis.
• Familiarity with QA/QC processes and ISO systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse a wide range of samples in a high-throughput lab.
• Carry out wet chemical, physical and instrumental analyses.
• Prepare reagents and standards for routine testing.
• Record, calculate and enter analytical data accurately.
• Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation.
• Support research and development projects as required.
• Follow SOPs, COSHH, and risk assessments.
