Job summary

Alecto Recruitment is recruiting for a Shift Engineering Supervisor in Enfield on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern. You will lead a team of Maintenance Engineers and Technicians to keep plant performance high, minimise downtime, and deliver ongoing improvements in reliability and safety.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong problem-solving, and experience with CMMS, budgeting, and cross-functional communication. Salary is £58,000–£60,000 plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is required.
• Experience leading a maintenance/engineering team.
• Strong problem-solving and fault-finding ability.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing engineering team of Maintenance Engineers and Technicians.
• Reduce downtime and improve plant performance through RCA and proactive maintenance.
• Drive safety and compliance with health and safety procedures, permits-to-work, and contractor management.
• Plan and oversee scheduled shutdowns and critical maintenance.
• Communicate performance and priorities across teams and management.
