The Ritz London is seeking a Shift Engineer to join the Maintenance Department in London. You will respond to a variety of maintenance tasks and work with heating & air conditioning, electrical and plumbing systems, while engaging with guests and colleagues to provide prompt service.

This role requires effective communication, a polished customer-service approach, and the ability to work under pressure in a luxury hotel setting.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in Maintenance / Engineering procedures or skills desired.
• Relevant experience in a Five-star hotel property is desirable.
• Knowledge of fire, safety, and risk procedures.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and possess strong organisational skills.
• Good command of the English language.
• Display a polite and professional attitude to internal and external guests.

POSITION OVERVIEW

We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our team at The Ritz London within the Maintenance Department as a Shift Engineer.

Our Shift Engineer is responsible to respond to a variety of maintenance related tasks and will therefore need to demonstrate experience and knowledge of general maintenance tasks, including heating & air conditioning systems, as well as electrical and plumbing services. This role requires interaction with guests, colleagues, contractors, service providers, visitors alike- you must be able to communicate effectively and are expected to respond to any queries promptly and efficiently.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

• Qualifications in Maintenance / Engineering proceduresor skills desired
• Relevant experience in a Five-star hotel property is desirable
