Job summary

Montcalm Collection is seeking a Shift Engineer to join our Maintenance team in delivering prompt, high-quality engineering support across the property. You will ensure all hotel systems meet luxury standards and comply with regulations.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will handle planned and reactive tasks, contribute to energy efficiency, and support a seamless guest and colleague experience.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a supervisory role within Front Office or a similar luxury hospitality environment.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
• Fluency in English; additional languages an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day maintenance operations, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building upkeep.
• Ensure all guest and staff maintenance requests are resolved promptly and effectively.
• Coordinate with Front Office and Housekeeping to resolve issues swiftly with minimal disruption.
• Uphold Montcalm’s luxury brand standards in all maintenance activities.
• Lead, supervise, and motivate the maintenance team and external contractors.
