Job summary
WPS is seeking a skilled Shift Engineer to join the Mercedes-Benz World site in Weybridge. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance across high-profile building services, ensuring energy efficiency and health & safety compliance.
The role requires proven electrical engineering experience within facilities or building services, up-to-date qualifications including 18th Edition, and IOSH Working Safely. It operates on a 7am–7pm continental shift rota with overtime where applicable.
Qualifications
- Experience in electrical engineering within facilities/building services maintenance.
- Up-to-date electrical qualifications and knowledge of regulations and codes of practice.
- IOSH Working Safe certification or willingness to obtain.
- Strong communication and quality assurance.
- Ability to work within a continental shift rota.
Responsibilities
- Respond to and complete help desk tasks (planned and reactive) within agreed timeframes.
- Carry out first-line maintenance on mechanical and electrical plant (pumps, motors, drives, AHUs, LV switchgear, PLCs, SCADA).
- Monitor and optimise building systems for efficiency and sustainability.
- Operate and maintain building services in line with site procedures and regulations.
- Occasional event coverage, paid as overtime if outside shift pattern.
- Occasionally support other sites as required.
