Job summary

PLASMOR LIMITED in Widnes, Cheshire, seeks a Shift Engineer for its production plant. The role focuses on maintenance of block plant machinery, with duties including liaising with team leaders, adhering to the PPM schedule, and ensuring safe operation of materials handling equipment. Training will be provided for hydraulics and electrical systems.

The successful candidate will perform regular checks, resolve breakdowns, and support production while maintaining health and safety standards on site.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial maintenance is preferred, training will be provided.
• Liaise with Production Team Leaders regarding maintenance activities.
• Adhere to the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with Production Team Leaders regarding maintenance activities
• Adherence to the planned preventive maintenance (PPM) schedule
• Safe and efficient maintenance and repair of block plant machinery and equipment
• Carry out dynamic risk assessments of work to be done
• Report any issues immediately when identified
• Assist in production and cleaning down of production related equipment / machinery
• Safe operation of materials handling equipment once trained
• Maintain a tidy working environment
• Reduce waste during maintenance and repair
• Adhere to health and safety standards at all times
• Keep line manager updated on progress and conclusions
