Job summary

Allied Bakeries in Biggleswade is seeking a committed Shift Engineer to support our Production teams and drive stability, safety and efficiency on a permanent basis. You will report to the Engineering Manager and operate on a Panama shift (days and nights), performing maintenance and timely repairs with root cause analysis to protect production volumes and plant performance.

You will work with the production department to resolve safety, quality or downtime issues, and you will complete

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing and repairing industrial equipment.
• Strong understanding of PLCs and control systems.
• Ability to apply root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and timely repairs on manufacturing equipment.
• Identify and resolve safety, quality or downtime issues with assets.
• Complete proactive maintenance tasks to improve reliability.
• Collaborate with production teams and report to Engineering Manager.

Are you a passionate, dedicated Shift Engineer looking for a rewarding career supporting our Production teams in driving forward profitability and growth in our business?

We have great opening to join our Engineering Team on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Engineering Manager.

Shift Pattern: Panama Shift, days and nights, This role involves the maintenance, timely repairs using root cause analysis, and continuous improvement of manufacturing equipment and plant and facilities to ensure the delivery of production volumes and efficiencies within an environment that puts the safety of its people and food as a priority.

You will be working closely with the production department to identify and resolve safety, quality, or downtime issues with assets in a timely manner. In addition, the completion and updating of proactive maintenance tasks is a vital part of the role.

The Right Person

You will need to have great judgement, the ability to diagnose and repair the equipment, as well as taking a long-term view in identifying improvements. You will also have a good understanding of PLC's.

You will be motivated to make a difference everyday with the ability to operate successfully in a fast-changing environment whilst refusing to accept poor standards.
