Job Description:

Location: Redcar

Hours of work: 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off, repeat (7am - 7pm / 7pm - 7am)

Role Overview

The role holder will be responsible for driving plant availability through ensuring all PPMs, reactive maintenance, engineering, and process improvements are carried out and implemented in a timely manner. The role involves driving best practices daily through high engineering, compliance, and H&S standards.

Core Responsibilities

• Provide high operational availability and efficient breakdown repair services. Diagnose faults and ensure effective repairs within minimum time.
• Develop and implement planned preventative maintenance and inspections to minimize downtime, record recurrent faults, and develop engineered solutions.
• Perform minor maintenance on plant and equipment.
• Coordinate with external contractors for specific repairs and maintenance.
• Stay updated with health & safety and environmental legislation and company policies to ensure standards are met.

Requirements

We require candidates with:

• An engineering qualification, electrical preferred.
• Experience maintaining production machinery.
• Fault finding in control panels, PLCs, VSDs, and relay logic circuits.
• Relevant titles include Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Maintenance Electrician, Shift Electrician, Maintenance Technician, Shift Engineer, among others.
