Job summary

Murphy is seeking a SHES Advisor to support infrastructure projects in Scotland, based out of our Glasgow office. This role focuses on maintaining Safety, Environmental and Quality management systems, inductions, audits, and incident investigations.

You will contribute to culture development, ensure training records are current, and document all relevant safety reports, supporting continuous improvement across our civils and renewables sites in Scotland.

Qualifications

• Higher Diploma in Health & Safety required.
• Minimum 3 years of civils/renewables site experience.
• Experience in Solar Farm construction advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
• Good IT skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and audit Safety, Environmental & Quality Management Systems.
• Carry out inductions and site audits/inspections.
• Produce monthly safety, health and environmental statistics.
• Lead culture development and behaviour-based safety programme.
• Ensure training records for on-site personnel are up to date.
• Investigate incidents and non-conformances and document reports.

Murphy is recruiting for a SHES Advisor to support infrastructure projects in Scotland, based out of our Glasgow office.

A day in the life of a SHES Advisor:

• Assisting in maintenance of the Safety Management System, Environmental Management System and Quality Management Systems and to ensure continued compliance with ISO 45001, ISO14001 and ISO 9001.
• Carrying out inductions
• Producing monthly statistics
• Champion Culture Development Programme (behaviour-based safety programme)
• Carry out and document site audits and inspections.
• Keeping up to date with changes in safety, health and environmental legislation and construction industry guidance.
• Ensuring personnel on site have the pre-requisite training records.
• Investigating, logging, and monitoring of Incidents and Non-conformances
• Completing all necessary report forms

• Higher Diploma in Health & Safety
• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience on civils and renewables projects.
• Solar Farm Construction experience advantageous.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with one or more teams.
• Good IT skills with a high attention to detail
• A flexible and proactive approach
• Demonstrate leadership skill
