Job summary

Solutions Engineering Recruitment is representing an award-winning roofing and cladding contractor seeking a SHEQ Manager to lead Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality across UK projects. Hybrid/site-office options available in Clitheroe, Doncaster or Cannock, with a salary £45,000–£50,000 plus benefits.

You will conduct site inspections, audits, RAMS and risk assessments, drive continuous improvement, and ensure CDM/HSE compliance while guiding project teams and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• You could currently be a: Site Manager | Site Supervisor | Contracts Manager | Foreperson | Cladding/Roofing Professional | Quality Professional | SHEQ/H&S Professional.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out site inspections, audits and compliance reviews
• Supporting project teams with RAMS, risk assessments and safe systems of work
• Managing quality assurance from pre-start through to project handover
• Investigating incidents, near misses and non-conformances
• Delivering toolbox talks, SHEQ briefings and site coaching
• Ensuring compliance with CDM, HSE requirements, Building Regulations and relevant standards
• Working closely with site teams, subcontractors and senior management
• Driving continuous improvements across health & safety, quality and environmental performance

SHEQ MANAGER – ROOFING & CLADDING

An exciting opportunity has opened up with an award-winning specialist roofing andcladding contractor, who are looking for an experienced SHEQ Manager to join their growing team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who already understands roofing, cladding, façades or building envelope projects and wants to move into a broader management, safety and quality-focused position.

Importantly, this role can be shaped around the right person. If you enjoy being out on site and want to remain hands-on, there is scope for a more site-based position. Equally, for someone looking to transition into a management-focused role, there are hybrid and office-based options available.

THE ROLE

You will take responsibility for Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality performance across a range of roofing, cladding, rainscreen and fire remediation projects throughout the UK.

Your responsibilities will include:

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

You don't necessarily need to have held a SHEQ Manager title before.

If you have strong industry experience, understand site operations and want to develop your career into SHEQ, full training and professional development will be provided.
