Ipsum is seeking a SHEQ Advisor to join our team based in Ilkeston, with significant travel across the UK. You will provide expert guidance across Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality matters, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements, industry standards and our SHEQ management systems.

You will work closely with operational teams, managers and customers to promote a positive SHEQ culture, deliver audits and inspections, coach and mentor staff, investigate incidents and support

Qualifications

• NEBOSH certificate in Occupational Health & Safety required.
• IOSH membership at appropriate level.
• Experience as a SHEQ Advisor in utilities/infrastructure/construction or related sector.
• Strong knowledge of SHEQ management systems, compliance and legislation.
• Experience auditing, inspecting and investigating incidents.
• Ability to review risk assessments, method statements and safe systems of work.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Environmental awareness and commitment to continuous improvement.
• Fully valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel.

Responsabilités

• Promote and maintain a dynamic SHEQ culture across the group and sites within remit.
• Promote out-of-the-box thinking to identify and implement solutions with customers and operations.
• Coordinate and support SHEQ policies, procedures, and risk controls to reduce risk and promote culture.
• Work with internal customers, divisions, contracts, and managers to plan, review, and achieve SHEQ targets.
• Support and measure performance against Occupational Health and Safety Plans across contracts.
• Conduct site visits, audits, and inspections and provide feedback with corrective actions for non-conformances.
• Support continual improvement of the Quality Management System and promote compliance with procedures.
