Reflect Recruitment Group is seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Worker / Welder in Grantham for a permanent role. The position focuses on MIG welding, with TIG experience welcomed, across mild and stainless steel projects.

A solid background in fabrication and reading manufacturing drawings is essential. The successful candidate will join a team delivering panels, electrical compartments and related components, with scope for training and progression.

Qualifications

• Experience MIG welding on mild steel and stainless steel.
• Ability to read and interpret design/manufacturing drawings.
• Able to mark measurements accurately for cutting.
• Familiar with TIG welding is advantageous but not essential.
• Meticulous and detail-oriented with a quality focus.
• Experience handling mild steel and fabricated panels.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture and weld mild steel panels and electrical compartments.
• Read and work from design/manufacturing drawings.
• Mark measurements accurately for cutting.
• Perform MIG welding; TIG welding desirable but not essential.
• Process materials and prepare components.
• Assemble panels and fabricate as required.
• Ensure work is completed to a high standard.

Are you an experienced Sheet Metal Worker or Welder looking for a permanent opportunity with a well-established company?

We are recruiting for a Sheet Metal Worker / Welder to join our client’s team in Grantham. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with solid MIG welding experience, with TIG experience being highly desirable, to develop their skills and build a long-term career.

The Role

Working on a variety of fabrication projects, manufacturing and assembling components from mild and stainless steel.

• Manufacturing and welding mild steel panels, electrical compartments and other materials
• Reading and working from design and manufacturing drawings
• Accurately marking measurements for material cutting
• MIG welding
• TIG welding — desirable, but not essential
• Processing materials and preparing components
• Panel assembly and fabrication
• Ensuring work is completed accurately and to a high standard

The ideal candidate.

• Previous experience in MIG welding
• Sheet metal or fabrication experience
• The ability to read and interpret technical/manufacturing drawings
• Good attention to detail and accuracy
• Experience working with mild steel
• Stainless steel experience would be advantageous
• TIG welding experience is desirable
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn

No forklift experience? No problem! Full training on a forklift truck can be provided.

Benefits include:

• £27,000 – £31,000 per year, depending on experience
• 40-hour working week, Monday to Friday
