Job summary

Jackie Kerr Recruitment is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Worker to join a busy engineering environment. This hands-on role requires TIG & MIG welding on sheet metal components and the ability to read drawings to produce high-quality fabrications.

You will operate guillotines and brake presses, measure parts for accuracy and maintain a clean, safe workspace. Monday to Friday 08:00–16:30, 37.5 hours per week, with reliable, team-focused candidates encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in sheet metal fabrication.
• Strong TIG and MIG welding experience.
• Experience using guillotines and brake presses.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, hardworking and keen to get stuck in.

Responsibilities

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Sheet Metal Worker / TIG & MIG Welder to join a busy engineering environment. This is a hands-on role and would suit someone with a strong background in sheet metal fabrication and welding, who is confident working from drawings and producing high-quality work.

Sheet Metal Worker Roles and Responsibilities:

• Carry out TIG and MIG welding on a range of sheet metal components
• Fabricate and assemble sheet metal parts to specification
• Use guillotines and brake presses to cut and form sheet metal
• Read and work from engineering drawings and specifications

Sheet Metal Worker Ideal Candidate:

Sheet Metal Working Hours:

• Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 16:30
