Job summary

Ganymede Solutions Limited is seeking an experienced Stainless Steel Tank Builder / Sheet Metal Worker in Swadlincote. You will fabricate tanks and vessels from drawings, roll and form stainless steel, and ensure high-quality finishes while meeting deadlines.

The role requires time-served experience, strong TIG welding skills (MIG a bonus), and the ability to interpret drawings. It offers 39 hours weekly with time-and-a-half OT on weekdays/Saturdays and double time on Sundays, with a

Qualifications

• Time-served Sheet Metal Worker or Fabricator.
• Experience building stainless steel tanks or vessels essential.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong TIG welding skills, ideally on stainless steel.
• Experience with rolling, forming and assembling sheet metal.
• Attention to detail for hygienic finishes.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate stainless steel tanks and vessels from engineering drawings.
• Measure, mark out, cut, roll and form stainless steel sheet and plate.
• Roll material to required diameter for vessel fabrication (around 4mm thick).
• Fabricate cones and other formed components.
• TIG weld stainless steel; MIG welding experience is a bonus.
• Dress welds, polish and finish components to high-quality hygienic finish.
• Carry out quality checks and ensure finished products meet specifications.
• Work safely to meet production deadlines.

Stainless Steel Tank Builder / Sheet Metal Worker

Location: Swadlincote, Derbyshire
Pay: £19.93 per hour + £2.41 holiday pay
Hours: 39 hours per week
Contract: Temp-to-Perm
Overtime: Time and a half and double time available

We are looking for an experienced Stainless Steel Tank Builder / Sheet Metal Worker to join an established engineering and manufacturing business in Swadlincote.

This is a great opportunity for a skilled, time-served fabricator looking for long-term work, with the opportunity to secure a permanent position.

The Role

You will be responsible for manufacturing stainless steel tanks, vessels and associated components, working from engineering drawings and ensuring a high standard of workmanship throughout the fabrication process.

Duties will include:

• Fabricating stainless steel tanks and vessels from engineering drawings.
• Measuring, marking out, cutting, rolling and forming stainless steel sheet and plate.
• Rolling material to the required diameter for vessel fabrication, including working with material around 4mm thick.
• Fabricating cones and other formed components.
• TIG welding stainless steel, with MIG welding experience also beneficial.
• Dressing welds, polishing and finishing components to achieve a high-quality hygienic finish.
• Carrying out quality checks and ensuring finished products meet specifications.
• Working safely and efficiently to meet production deadlines.

What We're Looking For
