Job description

Our long established, prestigious manufacturing client, based in Romford, is looking to recruit a temp to perm Sheet Metal Fabricator.

Working Hours:

Monday to Thursday 7:00am to 4:00pm and Friday 7:00am until 12 noon - 39 hours per week.

Position:

Temp to Perm opportunity.

Responsibilities:

1. Manufacture aerospace components according to procedures and instructions provided.
2. Set up and operate machinery used in the manufacture of sheet metal components.
3. Verify the conformity of parts, assemblies, and sub-assemblies in line with engineering drawings, the quality management system, and customer requirements.
4. Identify and report non-conformance as per company procedures.
5. Ensure compliance with Quality Assurance and Health & Safety policies and procedures.
6. Operate within customer and internal specifications and inspect products accordingly.

Technical Skills:

• Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes, tool operation, and safety procedures.
• Mechanical aptitude to work with tools and machinery, understand their functioning, and troubleshoot problems.
• Problem-solving skills to identify and resolve fabrication issues.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings.
• Effective communication skills with engineers, supervisors, and team members.
• Manual dexterity for operating tools and machinery with precision.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Willingness to learn new fabrication methods and technologies.
