Job summary

Jobsinkent is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Fabricator to join a busy, well-established manufacturing team in Headcorn. You will produce precision sheet metal components to exact specifications, bending, forming, and finishing to drawings.

The role offers a competitive salary (£28,000–£38,000) plus bonus and overtime, permanent full-time employment, a modern workshop and ongoing training to develop your skills.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with fine limit sheet metal.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems.
• Keen eye for detail and pride in high‑quality work.

Responsibilities

• Bend, form, fabricate and finish sheet metal components.
• Manufacture parts to customer specifications and drawings.
• Deburr, drill and assemble fabricated components.
• Carry out spot welding on bespoke products when required.
• Maintain high quality standards and production deadlines.
• Work safely and maintain clean workspace.

The Role

As a Sheet Metal Fabricator, you'll be responsible for producing precision sheet metal components to exact specifications. Your day-to-day duties will include:

• - Bending, forming, fabricating and finishing sheet metal components.
• - Manufacturing parts to customer specifications and engineering drawings.
• - Deburring, drilling and assembling fabricated components.
• - Carrying out spot welding on bespoke products when required.
• - Ensuring all work meets high-quality standards and production deadlines.
• - Working safely and maintaining excellent housekeeping standards.

About You

We're looking for someone with:

• - Proven experience working with fine limit sheet metal.
• - Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and assembly processes.
• - The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• - Experience with deburring, drilling and spot welding.
• - Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems.
• - A keen eye for detail and pride in producing high-quality work.

Desirable Skills

- Experience with any of the following would be an advantage:

• - LVD CNC Press Brake
• - Power-assisted rollers
• - Power guillotines
• - TIG welding
