Job summary

SNG Barratt Group is seeking a Production Apprentice in Bridgnorth to develop practical manufacturing skills across sheet metal work and electromechanical assembly. You will rotate through production areas, follow structured training plans, and progressively take on more responsibility as competence grows.

You will learn safe working practices, quality standards and basic problem solving while contributing to high-mix, low-volume manufacturing and assembly activities.

Qualifications

• Interest in practical engineering, manufacturing or assembly.
• Willingness to complete an apprenticeship programme.
• Good attitude to safety, quality, attendance and timekeeping.
• Basic numeracy and literacy, with ability to follow instructions and measurements.

Responsibilities

• Complete the agreed apprenticeship programme and attend required training sessions.
• Work through a structured training plan covering sheet metal and assembly processes.
• Seek feedback and take ownership of personal development, attendance and progress.
• Support sheet metal activities: marking out, drilling, deburring, fitting under supervision.
• Assist electromechanical assembly and use hand tools safely under supervision.
• Follow work instructions and report defects or issues promptly.
