Job summary

Power System Services offers an apprenticeship in engineering, based in Chesterfield. You will train in a well maintained factory, learning reading drawings, cutting, assembling, welding, drilling, CNC operation and finishing, while working alongside skilled engineers who emphasize quality and safety.

The program includes one day at college each week and opportunities for progression into supervision and management after completing the NVQ.

Qualifications

• Keen to learn and pursue an engineering career.
• Experience reading and understanding drawings.
• Basic metal fabrication tasks and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

Job description

This Apprenticeship is a fantastic opportunity to learn a rewarding trade with a well regarded business focused on quality and safety. We want applicants who are keen to learn, ambitious and want a career in engineering.

Work alongside skilled engineers developing key skills in fabrication and engineering. They will work in a well maintained factory environment manufacturing a variety of metal fabrications. Tasks will include, reading and understanding drawings, cutting assembling, welding, drilling, CNC operation and finishing.

We are looking for enthusiasm and motivation to leant a trade.

Following the completion of the NVQ there are opportunities to progress within the business to supervision and management

About the Training

The main training will be in our Chesterfield factory with a day at college each week.
