Job summary

Meridian Business Support is partnering with a UK-based employer to recruit a Development Manufacturing Engineer. You will work on sheet metal environments, providing manufacturing and assembly guidance throughout new product design and prototype iterations to improve design for manufacture.

The role is based in Exeter, with 8:00am–4:30pm hours, permanent contract, salary up to £40,000, and a 5% contributory pension; welding experience essential, and close collaboration with NPD design engineers.

Qualifications

• Design for manufacture expertise applied to sheet metal environments.
• Identify manufacturability risks early in design and product development.
• Guide manufacturability decisions to support design iterations and prototypes.

Responsibilities

• Provide manufacturing and assembly guidance throughout new product design and prototype iterations.
• Improve design for manufacture initiatives within R&D.
• Support pre-production builds and cost-optimisation efforts.
