Job summary

Nestlé Halifax Factory in West Yorkshire is seeking an experienced SHE Manager to lead Health, Safety and Environmental programmes on site. The role focuses on creating a safe working environment and driving continuous improvement within a LEAN transformation.

You will ensure regulatory compliance, escalate risks, and partner with line managers to strengthen SHE practices across manufacturing and operations at the Halifax site.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Health and Safety Diploma (or equivalent) is required.
• Extensive SH&E experience within manufacturing or FMCG environments.
• Knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation and management systems.
• Audits, risk management, and regulatory liaison experience.

Responsibilities

• Advisory Role: guide line managers on Health, Safety, and Environmental practices and foster SHE ownership.
• Strategic Planning: set SHE priorities and develop site programmes for compliance and performance improvement.
• Implementation and Training: oversee EMS implementation and coach managers to take ownership of SHE.
• Compliance and Auditing: conduct regular audits and maintain certification to safety and environmental standards.
• Stakeholder Engagement: liaise with unions, regulators, and communities on SHE topics.
