Job summary

Nestlé Halifax Factory in West Yorkshire seeks an experienced Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) Manager to lead site SHE programmes, ensure regulatory compliance and foster a culture of continuous improvement. The role focuses on advisory support, training, audits and stakeholder engagement to drive safer and more sustainable operations.

You will oversee the Environmental Management System, lead risk assessments and coordinate with line managers to embed best practices across manufacturing

Qualifications

• Experience leading Safety, Health and Environmental programmes in manufacturing.
• Detailed knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation and management systems.
• Experience leading audits, managing risk and engaging with regulatory bodies.
• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent required; able to analyse complex issues and implement solutions.
• Ideally educated to degree level and with environmental/continuous improvement knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Advisory Role: guide line managers on Health, Safety and Environmental management.
• Strategic Planning: identify SHE priorities and drive site-level programmes.
• Implementation and Training: oversee EMS implementation and train managers.
• Compliance and Auditing: conduct regular audits and maintain certifications.
• Stakeholder Engagement: build relationships with unions, regulators and communities.
