As our business aims to deliver its ambitious growth strategy, we are looking for a SHE Manager to join our Ditton (Widnes) site. This role is responsible for providing specialist advice and coordinating the safe and efficient operation of the site concerning SHE management and all relevant regulations.

  • Strong experience in a similar role within the chemical/manufacturing industry
  • Expertise in Occupational Health
  • Knowledge of site processes, SHE legislation, and industry standards
  • Effective communicator, capable of building strong working relationships and producing high-quality written work
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Proven track record of achieving objectives and targets in project management
  • Project management qualification is advantageous
What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Ensure compliance with external SHE standards, regulations, and legislation
  • Monitor and identify opportunities to improve SHE performance on site and communicate safety matters to all employees
  • Maintain comprehensive risk control programs and procedures to minimize risk and manage emergencies
  • Ownership and development of SHE management systems
  • Set standards for employee competency, maximize staff cooperation regarding SHE issues, and manage risks
  • Communicate effectively and influence people at all levels within the site and with external stakeholders such as auditors, regulators, customers, and suppliers
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations on SHE topics
