Job summary

Edwards Vacuum is offering an on-site apprenticeship in Bristol for candidates starting their career in SHE and safety. You will work at our Clevedon site, support ISO-aligned audits, track non-conformances, and help implement risk controls while learning from experienced colleagues.

The programme lasts two to four years, with structured learning, real responsibilities, and progression opportunities. Strong English communication and GCSEs are required.

Qualifications

• Must be a good communicator with excellent fluency in English.
• This role is offered as an apprenticeship L3 (equivalent to A Levels).
• GCSE in English and Maths grade 4 (C) or above.
• Microsoft Office applications, basic IT skills.
• Shows empathy when dealing with people in difficult situations.
• Social skills with the ability to engage and motivate others.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the implementation of the SHE Management System at the Clevedon site.
• Support internal audits on processes in line with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and local procedures.
• Track and report on SHE related non-conformances.
• Support SHE related projects as required.
• Promote and influence a positive safety culture within the product company.
• Support process owners to assess risks, record them, and introduce preventive measures.

Main Responsibilities –

• Supporting the implementation of the SHE Management System (set out in Risk Control Elements RCE00 through to RCE28) at the Clevedon site.
• To support internal audits on processes at PC Clevedon in line with the requirements of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and local procedures, whilst working towards an integrated SHEQ approach.
• To track and report on SHE related non-conformances.
• To support SHE related projects as required.
• To promote and influence a positive safety culture within the product company.
• To support process owners to achieve a sustainable approach to the assessment of all risks in their area, the recording of such risks and the swift introduction of measures to minimize such risks, both preventative and protective.
