Job summary

Vistry Group is seeking a Safety, Health & Environment Advisor to support projects across the South West region. You will ensure compliance with SHE policies, perform site reviews and drive a positive SHE culture while offering specialist support through documentation and pre-qualification processes.

The role requires NEBOSH Construction or equivalent, experience in Residential Construction or Tier 1 contracting, and membership in a professional body with progress toward Chartered status.

Qualifications

• Must have NEBOSH Construction or equivalent diploma.
• Experience in the construction industry.
• Experience in a Safety Advisor role within Residential Construction or Tier 1 Contracting.
• Member of a Professional Body, progressing to Chartered status.
• Experience in housebuilding desirable.

Responsibilities

• Identify CDM roles and responsibilities for each project and align with Business Manager and Site Manager.
• Facilitate policy implementation to reduce risk and promote SHE culture.
• Drive and promote the company’s behavioural approach through site visits and forums.
• Support ActivSHEQ database implementation and data input at site level.
• Assist SHE line management in implementing Group SHE Standards and report issues.
• Support regular SHE Management Reviews and assist in meeting SHE objectives.
• Assist in measuring performance against Sustainability Route Maps.
• Promote SHE across the Group and engage with external authorities and associations.
• Provide guidance for pre-qualification and tender documentation.
