Job summary

Morgan Sindall Infrastructure is seeking a SHE Advisor to join the SHEQS team on the Clyde Commercial Framework at Faslane. You will provide health and safety support across Civil and M&E works, reporting to the Head of SHEQS, and help maintain high safety standards within a regulated environment.

You will influence operational teams, conduct site inspections, and drive continuous improvement across project lifecycles from ECI to handover.

Qualifications

  • NEBOSH qualification (General or Construction) required.
  • Experience in a construction health and safety role.
  • Strong understanding of UK health and safety legislation.
  • Experience conducting site inspections, audits, and investigations.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
  • Electrical safety knowledge or experience.
  • Experience on civil engineering and/or M&E projects.
  • Experience in regulated industries such as defence, nuclear, utilities, rail, or infrastructure.
  • Additional vocational health and safety qualifications.
  • Membership of a relevant professional body (or working towards membership).
  • Proactive and solution-focused approach to health and safety.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with operational teams and stakeholders.
  • Passion for promoting safe working practices and driving positive health and safety outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide proactive health and safety support to project teams undertaking civil engineering and M&E works across the Faslane site.
  • Support projects throughout the full project lifecycle, from ECI and planning stages through to construction and handover.
  • Advise operational teams on compliance with health and safety legislation, company standards, and client requirements.
  • Undertake site inspections, audits, and assurance activities to monitor compliance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support the investigation of incidents, near misses, and non-conformances, ensuring lessons learned are shared effectively.
  • Assist project teams in the development and review of risk assessments, method statements, and construction phase documentation.
  • Promote a positive safety culture and drive behavioural safety initiatives across the framework.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and guidance on health and safety matters to project teams and stakeholders.
  • Support programme-level SHEQS objectives, reporting requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Build collaborative relationships with client representatives, supply chain partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure best practice is embedded across all activities.

We are seeking a SHE Advisor to join our SHEQS team, supporting the delivery of civil engineering and M&E projects on the Clyde Commercial Framework (CCF) at HMNB Faslane. Reporting to the Head of SHEQS, you will provide health and safety support across projects from ECI through to delivery, helping to maintain the highest safety standards within a highly regulated environment.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a high-performing team on a long-term framework, gaining exposure to a diverse range of projects while supporting one of the UK's most significant defence infrastructure programmes.

  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

  • Experience working within regulated industries such as defence, nuclear, utilities, rail, or infrastructure.
