Job summary

North Northamptonshire Council is seeking a Shared Lives Officer for a temporary maternity-cover role spanning office and community work. You will manage placements, supervise Carers, coordinate referrals, and maintain compliant records to ensure safe, outcome-focused support across the Shared Lives scheme.

Qualifications

• Independent and able to work autonomously within a team
• Clear, professional written and confident verbal communication
• Good understanding of digital tools, IT systems, and AI to support daily work
• Knowledge of Health and Social Care sector and willingness to undertake appropriate training
• Ability to assess challenges, make sound decisions and handle sensitive situations

Responsibilities

• Manage placements: oversee the full placement process, including risk management, documentation, matching individuals with Carers, ensuring safe, appropriate, outcome-focused support
