We have the drive and enthusiasm to achieve our ambitions. We want adults who live in Shared Lives placements to thrive and Shared Lives Providers to feel supported and valued. As an Eastbourne based Shared Lives Officer you will work directly with adults living in Shared Lives placements and the providers of their accommodation and support – these are people with eligible care needs under the Care Act 2014 living with Shared Lives Providers in a typical household. You will manage a caseload, supporting and enabling the continuous development of Shared Lives Providers to ensure the service they provide is of high quality and complies with Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulation, achieving outcomes for both Providers and People in placements that support their well-being and continuous development.

You will be skilled in communication, assessment, liaising with other professionals and working both independently and as part of a skilled, high-performing and supportive team. The successful candidate will have strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft office. You will be responsible for managing your own time in line with service need to ensure a high quality of service delivery.

We are looking for a candidate who:

  • Has assessment and reviewing skills
  • Is committed to supporting adults towards their goals and aspirations
  • Has interpersonal, negotiation and organisational skills
