Job summary

Caval in the United Kingdom is seeking a Site Engineer to support a £15m Sheffield town improvements project. You will assist with setting-out and engineering control activities, working closely with site teams, operatives and subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely, accurately and to required quality standards.

The successful candidate will have an HND or equivalent qualification (degree desirable), experience with setting-out techniques, and be confident using Level and EDM with

Qualifications

• HND or equivalent qualification, degree desirable.
• Experience with standard setting-out techniques.
• Confident using Level and EDM.
• Knowledge of GPS preferred.
• Strong understanding of working safely on site.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.
• Flexible and innovative approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate site engineering control and setting-out activities.
• Provide engineering information to operatives and subcontractors.
• Carry out as-built surveys and maintain accurate records.
• Assist with quality records and Inspection & Test Plans.
• Maintain as-built drawings and documentation.
• Help control and minimise waste on site.
• Support and mentor junior and graduate engineers.
• Assist with introducing new processes, techniques and innovations.
• Promote and maintain a safe working environment.
