Job summary

RTL Group Ltd. is seeking an experienced Setting Out Engineer for a major highways drainage package in Scotland.

The role focuses on delivering setting out, drainage runs and associated infrastructure across the site, with strong emphasis on interpretation of drawings and site plans. The candidate will work closely with Site Agents, Engineers and subcontractors, ensuring quality, health and safety compliance and accurate as-built records throughout an 18-month contract in Perthshire.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering drainage packages on civil/highways projects.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and site plans.
• Strong health & safety awareness on site.
• Experience setting out using GPS and total stations.
• Collaborative work with site teams and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Deliver setting out and engineering duties across the drainage package.
• Set out drainage runs, manholes, chambers and related infrastructure.
• Interpret construction drawings, specifications and site plans.
• Ensure works meet project specifications and quality standards.
• Conduct as-built surveys and maintain accurate site records.
• Coordinate with Site Agents, Site Engineers and subcontractors.
