Job summary

RTL Group Ltd on a major RC Frame project in South London is seeking an experienced Setting Out Engineer. You will be responsible for setting out RC frame works, coordinating with the Site Manager and engineering team to ensure accuracy and programme adherence.

Key duties include surveys, reading drawings, formwork and reinforcement setting out, and resolving on-site issues. Strong communication and RC frame knowledge are essential for this long-term role.

Qualifications

• Experience setting out RC frame works including slabs, columns, walls and cores.
• Strong setting-out experience within reinforced concrete.
• Confident using Total Station and surveying equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Good understanding of RC Frame construction.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Setting Out Engineer to join an established RC Frame subcontractor on a major project in South London.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the setting out of reinforced concrete frame works, working closely with the Site Manager and wider engineering team to ensure works are delivered accurately and to programme.

Key Responsibilities

• Setting out RC frame works including slabs, columns, walls and cores
• Setting out formwork and reinforcement
• Carrying out site surveys and as-built surveys
• Checking dimensions, levels and alignment
• Reading and interpreting construction drawings

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Setting Out Engineer on RC Frame projects
• Strong setting-out experience within reinforced concrete

• Relevant engineering qualification or solid demonstrable site experience
