Job summary

THG Recruitment is seeking Setting Out Engineers to support groundworks and civil infrastructure projects in Braintree. The role offers daily rate of £300-£350 and involves coordination with site teams on multiple packages ranging from £15m-£30m.

Ideal candidates will have experience in setting out infrastructure works, including roads, drainage, RC ground beams and pile caps, and will be proficient with GPS and total station equipment.

Responsibilities

• Liaising with site team and main contractors.
• Good man management and interpersonal skills and able to lead when required.
• Forward thinking, innovative and problem solving.
• Topographical surveys and producing As-Built surveys to a high standard.
• Previous experience in setting out infrastructure works including roads and drainage, RC ground beams and pile caps and civils construction in general.
• Use of GPS and total station equipment (TS16).
• Raising Technical Queries (RFI) and Verbal Instructions (CVI).
• Responsible for Quality Inspections and checks.
• Understanding of Inspection & Test Plans

We are currently working with a well established groundworks and civil engineering contractor delivering large groudnwork and infrastructure schemes across London.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint Setting out Engineers to support the delivery of multiple projects ranging from £15m - £30m groundwork packages.
