Job Advert Location Description

Priory Hospital Hayes Grove is a private 46-bed acute psychiatric hospital for adults, located in Bromley. The hospital provides care and treatment for patients with a wide range of mental health conditions who are admitted as inpatients, day patients, or outpatients.

The hospital specialises in treating patients with acute mental health conditions, addiction issues, and has a specialist eating disorders unit. It is situated close to excellent transport links to Bromley, central London, and Croydon areas, with parking available locally.

Role Description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated sessional therapist to support our private adult mental health service by delivering group therapy to inpatients on Saturday mornings and outpatient individual therapy sessions.

The ideal candidate will have at least three years of post-qualification experience (Level 5 Diploma or equivalent) working with adult mental health issues, both in group and individual settings.

Relevant accreditation with BACP, BABCP, UKCP, or HCPC is required.

The role involves providing psycho-educational group therapy to inpatients requiring therapeutic intervention. A good knowledge of CBT, risk assessments, and risk management is essential.

There will also be opportunities to manage a caseload of outpatients for individual therapy outside of the group sessions. Due to current demand, the candidate should be available for in-person appointments later in the day or during evenings/weekends.

Previous experience in similar settings, with specific skills in CBT, DBT, or EMDR, is preferred.
