Job summary

Loughborough College Group is seeking a Sessional Lecturer in Elite Sports to join our team at Loughborough College.

The Elite Sport department is a highly successful area with over 2,000 learners and offers provision up to Level 4 qualifications. It works nationally across study programmes, apprenticeships, international and adult programmes including the Diploma in Sporting Excellence.

Qualifications

• Teaching qualification is required.
• Extensive experience in further education.
• Experience in elite sport and high-performance environments.
• Must have a valid driving license and access to a vehicle to travel to other locations.
• Knowledge of a range of teaching methodologies, including online delivery.

• Develop curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment strategies to support learners progressing through sport talent pathways
• Deliver inspiring teaching and learning to ensure all students are supported to succeed
• Monitor learner progress to ensure target grades are met and all learners achieve to the best of their ability

What skills and experience we're looking for

We have an exciting opportunity for a Sessional Lecturer in Elite Sports to join our team at Loughborough College Group, based at Loughborough College.

Loughborough College's Elite Sport department is a highly successful department with over 2,000 learners.

The department offers a wide range of provision up to L4 qualifications, working nationally with a broad range of funded programmes that includes study programmes, apprenticeships, international, adult programmes and the Diploma in Sporting Excellence.

Responsibilities of this role include:

• Developing both curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment strategies to support learners progressing through sport talent pathways
• Deliver inspiring teaching and learning to ensure all students are supported to succeed
• Monitor learner progress to ensure target grades are met and all learners achieve to the best of their ability

What we are looking for:

• Possess a teaching qualification
• Have extensive experience and vocational experience in further education
• Have experience in elite sport and working in a high-performance environment
• Possess a driving license and have access to a vehicle to travel as and when it is required to other work locations
• Possess strong interpersonal and organisational skills
• Work effectively with a range of partners
• Possess excellent planning and administration skills and be able to work to deadlines
• Knowledge of a range of teaching methodologies is essential including online based delivery
